Fellow Readers...
If this biography has captured your interest, I'd be grateful if you'd consider leaving a review on Amazon. Your opinions, whether positive, negative, or neutral, are important. This enables me to grasp what's effective, what's not, and avenues for improvement. Writers improve solely through their readers.
My Story
In 2019, when the world went into lockdown because of COVID, I started writing to cope with the isolation and introspection. I regret not having started earlier. Writing proved to be surprisingly liberating, offering a rare space where my anxiety eased and the internal chatter subsided.
During the day, I work as a full-time Chief Information Officer. Technology presents a complex challenge for me; I'm both impressed by it and worn out by it. Therefore, my stories subtly convey my opinions on this subject, even though they are not usually its main focus.
When I'm not engrossed in technology or writing my next horror or children's book, I like to spend time with friends and take part in community events that can range from festive to a little spooky. At Pirate Daze, I often make balloon swords for children. I also portray Santa in holiday parades, and I've taken photos as Father Frost, Krampus, and the Plague Doctor. I am the host of the annual Seattle Scottish Highlands Games. There, I entertain thousands of people as they anticipate the caber toss and the parade of pipes.
My 38-year marriage has blessed me with an adult son and daughter, and two incredible grandsons, who are the inspiration behind my children's books.
Even though I'm not a believer in the supernatural, I lived in a haunted house for almost ten years. The question whether the house was truly haunted or simply a figment of a child's imagination was never settled, given its demolition before answers could be found. The experience, however, continues to resonate, occasionally appearing in my dreams and influencing my writing.
With countless writers available nowadays, I truly appreciate your readership and commitment.
